Are my files really not uploaded?

Correct. The extraction engine (libarchive) runs as WebAssembly inside your browser. Files never travel over the network — once the page is loaded, it even works offline.

Which formats are supported?

ZIP, RAR (including RAR5), 7Z, TAR, GZ/TGZ, BZ2, XZ, ISO, CAB, LZH and most other formats supported by libarchive.

Can it open password-protected archives?

Yes. A password field appears when the archive is encrypted. The password never leaves your browser either.

Is there a size limit?

There is no fixed limit since nothing is uploaded. Extraction happens in browser memory though, so multi-gigabyte archives may be slow or fail depending on your device.
